How to Help

A newborn—testing positive for cocaine with severe medical complications; a 10-year-old— aggressive and acting out in school; an 18-year-old— aged out of foster care and no where to go. These are among the thousands of youth that are in need of help from our program and services. You help us make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children and families in our community. Here are ways you can help us empower families and offer hope:

An old man and a young boy were walking along a beach.
As they walked the old man picked up each starfish he passed and threw it into the sea.
The young boy asked "Why?"
"If I left them here," the man said, "they would dry up in the sun and die. I'm saving their lives."
"But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish," the young boy said.
"How can what you're doing make any difference at all?"
The man looked at the starfish in his hand, threw it into the ocean, and answered,
"It makes a difference to this one."
